    apples are spotty some are loaded some are bare.. makes for better hunting as well. oaks are the same some loaded some bare. havent checked hickorys beech were heavy last year so iexpect they will be sparce this year as well

    had few showers on and off not as dry as most other places..brassicas coming up.well

    if they are dropping now there are 3 causes drought, or they have a bug in them a tree will shed itself of insect infected nuts early,or squirrels and other critters are knocking them down

    id still put a hurting on them.. you always control deer population.. that many pics you have den nearby.

    you can leave them in the boxes and just cut end open that faces ground .the soap doesnt dissolve but scent remains the foil boxes will.last a few years.. friend uses this method in his new orchard to keep deer from rubbing the trunks of the trees..

    turinp..fast germinating and growing clover is slow growing id wait till you could spray it before you tried clover to decrease the compitition

    you can cut till , seed fert and plant all the same time. its not the prefered way but it works. just till as well as you can
