Tom's always vie for dominance but Jake's and other Tom's breed many hens, they pick by simply laying down and exccepting the Tom's advances just like a doe may be bred by differnt bucks and twins are only half siblings..

Bird will move if bumped off roost a couple of times in a few days. They do not like pressure , I think they are more sensitive than deer personally.. in the fall your dealing with " fawns" that dont know any better break up a group of mature gobblers and it might be 3 or 4 days before they get back together.

You can paint or stain. Just dont get sounding surfaces.. the slight.change in tone may make the box a winner.. I have one the sound board cracked and I glued it back together, one of my.best calls now

I've shot turkeys in field at 65 a d my fall bird was over 50 this year. All.depends how gun patterns with shell and obstructions. Best bet is to go out several evening before and at a distance listen for gobbles, and again in am . Trout fishing is good excuse to listen for birds near water. I use a locator call sparingly when scouting as if birds hear same call they become accustomed to. It and wont shock gobble to it anymore, takes good ears to hear a bird in the middle of using an owl hooter. Try several different locators . In am when hunting If you didnt locate one night before. I also runa mopped along ridge and blow horn they answer that well. 2 or 3 gobble snacks you should be able to know where he is within 70 yards but remember in moonlit nights turkeys will tree hop so. A nice gobble in early am.is always definitive

Yyes got his 1st Turkey at 15 on youth hunt and took buck at 16 and doe at 17 , been in rotc so didnt hunt last two years .

Most pumpkins do not compete with weeds well you will need to spray area to kill them off 2 or 3 seed in a spot , each spot 4 to 6 ft apart. They take 120 to 130 days on average to mature so if you go backwards 4 .5 months from oct 1.. would be mid may planting time so you can spay a few spots to plant a couple times before you plant.

There is no restriction of the award based upon race, religion or sex, other than ~e student must be enrolled in a Department of Defense authorized Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Normally, only one medal is presented by each ROTC unit. Preferably the recipient should be a sophomore or junior so that the medal may be worn for a year or more. Most schools select recipients who rank in the top 25°/o of their class academically.

I've done that on a 5 bottom plow and snapped both lines off my Oliver more than once, things happen... go.easy on the old man. I've since gone to a locking hitch pin havent done it since ( knock on wood) made my own easy out from. A old chisel I ground at angle.to fit inside 3/4 in pipe, did the trick in minutes.. keep it in tractor tool box as it always happened in middle of field...

I'd like to see 1 bird before may 15th and 1 bird after the 15th ,like it use to be spread out the hunters as a guy may take week vacation to kill. 2 birds but may not if can only get one, as the saying goes 10% get 90%.. a little longer for the guys that dont have time to hunt 1st week...

They say if you make it past 2 weeks your good.. idk all.of them are experimental, not tested like many products that are approved by fda that now are off market for side effects.. they dont stop you from getting it, transmitting it, at best they are suppose to reduce the effect on youif you catch it... approved for emergency use only ... I dont really see an emergency as we now know how to treat it with drug cocktails in bad cases..

No reason to stop a fall hunt ,many young of the year birds will die over winter , taking those birds make no change, taking gobblers in the fall or adult hens I can see an issue, though I have had chances at gobblers in the fall and have taken a few I stopped years ago, they know how to survive a winter and Iike to hear them.in the spring. So I leave them be, a young 8 to 10 lb bird in fall is perfect for Thanksgiving dinner imo.
