Bad hatches for several years did a job on turkey numbers , now last year was a good hatch here so numbers jumped. That is the biggest factor and how undisturbed the woods are a daily walk in the wood will drive birds out of the area.
-
Many factors increased number 1st is weather effecting previous years hatch, the next is habitat, many are no intofood plotting and " make a plot "out of any fallow field they have. Running prime nesting and bugging areas. Woods mature and further nesting is removed.. and predators are the last on my list as a issue..

Dick kirby use to promote it , in a couple of videos out of texas, about near cut head off it. Would be fun to try.

The most common method for how to kill Japanese knotweed is using a non-selective herbicide. You will need to use it undiluted or at least at a high concentration on this weed. Remember that this is a tough plant and one application of herbicide will not kill Japanese knotweed, but will only weaken it. The idea is to spray it repeatedly until the plant uses up all of its energy reserves while trying to regrow repeatedly.Read more at Gardening Know How: Controlling Japanese Knotweed – Get Rid Of Japanese Knotweed https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/weeds/controlling-japanese-knotweed.htm

Well I've been battling yellow nutsedge for a few years, but it with roundup a few times but it grows back from any part seed, or tuber.. decided to go chemical specific as its creeping Into my clover plot, orchard and main logging roads.. decided to go. With sedgehammer .. expensive stuff for 1.6 punces.. but considering you use a teaspoon per gallon. it should do about 2 acres.. I will win this damn thing yer...

If that is the case shoot a round if it stops shoot another.. should stop for the noise right?? Stopping a deer by making a noise puts deer on high alert . Fine with gun maybe, bad idea with bow as it will duck your arrow. You can turn a deer by shooting in front of it into a tree the smack will turn him many times back toward you

That has to be pretty high up to get that spread and you must get lot of wind drift unless you pick perfect day.. I'll stick with a 10 ft folding boom . Put spray exactly where I want it, I have several strips that wind drift would kill if I sprayed more than a couple of ft off ground

There are a ton of modern legal crossbows that fit nys regs. As for ban in Suffolk that has to be addressed at county level

Owl calls use to work well here in the 90s but now there are 15 or more owl calling every morning in earshot. I have better luck with elk bugle now, or peacock call, bonus is another hunter cant say oh I thought you were an owl when the walk in on your set up.

If I was sitting 50 yards from you and shot my bow you would never hear it, if I was 50 yards from you with a crossbow you would never hear it. The solitude doenst change and if that is what your after then how do you put up with duck goose and small game.season all at same time?? Fact is you do not want any more competition, yet nybh made more competition by making it a muzzleloader ( ridiculous) no archery course needed , no training of the mentality bowhunters need to get.close aim properly and kill game cleanly, so anyone that hunted could go out and buy one. Had it in fact demanded a archery course to be used the issue would be moot as its limitations and method of killing would be taught and known. . It should be archery equipment period. And course required, no grandfathered in. Same as when archery became seperate. I have no problem with current restrictions on them but would like to see them recognized for what they are archery equipment. The way nybh looks at them is the way early colonists looked at black slaves.. non human and no rights when in fact we know we are all human and should have the same rights!

No subsidies for it , at one time we had another whole power plant in the gorge best and most efficient engery producer :
-
Crossbow can still be passed thru seperate bill , was just cut out of budget proposals. But as I said i believe simply getting it made archery equipment and require archery course should be main focus, weight and limb restriction should be addressed later time. Imo

I thought my colt gold medal.was high end......
-
Honestly in my opinion, biting off more than they can chew, should just be going after it to be classified as archery equipment , and mandatory bow course required. once done then can work on restrictions, full inclusion, same as compounds did to get lighted pins, releases , high let off.

Wind turbines are hugely inefficient. You could eliminate all the wind turbines in nys by simply adding 1 turbine to robert moses hydro project.. the are funded by 1 million dollar subsidiaries per wind mill..

I'm opposite I have no issue with restrictions, would like it in all of archery with restrictions, I think that would be,easier to pass.. jmo
