I have no bias yea I'm sure less hunting time will equal more big deer but at the same time less opportunity for hunters to get those deer . It's a double-edged sword don't you think. Of course if your main thing is not gun hunting then it is definitely good for you.

I have both vers of this in 22 .177 And also the big bother of that the Pcp version the Benjamin woods walker . There all great guns and they all shoot the crosmam domed pellets the best . Pointed pellets give you more penetration but domed pellets give you better accuracy . They both will do the job on small game.

Some one here actually said they're selling more licenses but it's actually to none hunters people cheeting the system getting their kids and wives to buy hunting licenses even though they don't hunt so they can hunt more themselfs You should probably argue with him I think it was Four seasons maybe but I don't remember for sure . I can tell you opening day you see a lot less cars on the side of the road on public land then you use to 30 years ago

Your not reading the data right the data shows there close to flat in the last 10 years . Even though the population has grown in the last 10 years which means there down overall same with fishing licenses.

But look at the bright side In 35 years of hunting I see less and less hunters every year it seems like . So the deer are going to get older here more then likely with out doing anything . So why would the state that already is losing money because of less hunting licenses being sold make the season shorter Is that going to help license sales I doubt it.

You take a poll how many guys would want a shorter season Most would say NO So does not matter what I or they think Most guys will be against it . It is what it is . And soon you will have full inclusion with crossbows . Do you think that's going to help those bucks live to get bigger .

Name exact states and what exactly they do that makes a difference in the size of bucks there . If you want to make a point

your the one complaining about not having any big deer to shoot not me. Maybe you should learn to be a better hunter or spend more time hunting . That is the solution to your problem not playing around with the season . Bet you anything if they shorten it you would still be complaining anyway.

What other states do has no relevance to what we do in this state the terrain is different the climate is different the population is different the genetics of the deer is difference. And the distribution of hunters is different. Get a clue guy . I guess you dont travel much .

Don't talk to me about other states those other states you are talking about deer hunting is big business they live off the tropey hunting and guid hunting business in a lot of those states . And beside that they have very little population to begin with. It's like comparing apples to oranges. But what do I know only been hunting for 35 years . Besides you go and shorten the season your going to get more guys in the woods all at once potentially that means more chance for hunting accidents i dont think it will change anything for the good .

If someone wants to sue all he needs is find a lawyer to take the case Then you are stuck paying the bill to defend yourself even if it gets thrown out of court it can cost you thousands anyway This happens all the time . That's why you need insurance at least that way you are not stuck paying the whole bill in the end .

Do you hunt private land or public because if you hunt private you have nothing to complain about . And if you hunt public learn how to find them or just enjoy The Great Outdoors. Its called hunting for a reason . You sound like you want to farm them .

Well if those guys are so fanatic about horn hunting they can just high fence there property and only shoot the big ones in it if horn is all they are looking for with out limiting other Hunters season . I don't buy the idea that guys that are shooting big bucks now would want a shorter season unless they are shooting fenced deer and think a shorter season is going to some how make the wild deer grow into the fenced deer you see in some of those hunting shows . More then likely the guys who think like that are still going to be disappointed. Even if you shorten the season I would be willing to bet.

You can get sued even if they were there on your property without permission!!! I got sued by a tresspaser if they can find a lawyer lowlife enough to do it they can sue you then you or the insurance loses money either way because of legal fees even if you win you loose . Mine got settled out of court for that reason it would have cost more to go to trial . That is why always have insurace you never know . And the best part this scumbag was here illegally Don't you love America lol

Exactly if you like hunting why would you want less time doing it . For what . For a easier chance at a bigger buck . To those who think that way. how about you just spent more time becoming a better Hunter/tracker there is know guarantee that just because the season is shorter you're going to get that bigger Buck anyway .

I think most guys give up after a few first days then you have the woods almost to your self seems like, but by that time most deer are spooked and only come out at night or find a place most hunter can not get to . I don' t think shorten season will do anything except piss people off that dont have the time to hunt certain days of the season .

I am a joke ? I guess the part a said about driving 3 hours and leasing land only to have some toothless hilljack hunting on it because they know I don't live near there did not sink in did it ? I rather walk 2 or even 6 or more miles in the middle of nowhere to hunt deer on public then do that again , as a,matter of fact I like it better that way for the most part . When I have the time to get up to those places Much more satisfieing then hunting behind someones ' house and then using a atv to drag the deer 300 yards out of the back yard like a lot of people I know do . But this is getting off topic now . The original question was if it's not going to effect you in anyway would you be in favore of that kind of program yes or no ? this may not even effect me personally because there still may not be any good places near me that volunteer there land for that program anyway ,But i am still for it . I think it would help a lot of other hunters out .

No thanks I'm not into begging To strangers or family or friend's for anything Merry Christmas tho I will hunt the public land nearest me . And take the drive to better public when I can.

Yea Well how about this one ,I have spent money for a lease that was a 3 hour drive just to find out Billy Bob the neighbor was hunting and Traspasing on it . That's another reason I shy away from leasing anymore unless it is close by maybe , at least this way you can watch over it better . And for me usally if you are going to drive that far it is not that hard to find public that is not hit that hard by hunters Anyway so it does not make sense for me to lease if I have to drive that far anyway. My idea was to figure out a way to get people to lease land to the state for hunting that normally don't bother. Or create more state land in those areas that dont have much of it .
