Every deer and hunter has to go to a check station in their area.... If there breaking the law there not going to just go to the check point . It is not going to work for the most part people who do that do it on private property

If you know this call up dec and report them . If your not even doing that much you have nothing to complain about .

The guys that do crap like that will just hide there deer in the trunk of there car anyway . Are you going search every car On the roads . There not that many hunters anymore to even bother like they did 30 years ago fractly. They would rather rely on people calling in and reportng violations.

It's annoying when you do that for both cops and hunters alike besides most of that is happening on private land anyway. The deer they kill never leaves the property .or it goes to the neighbor with a unused tag . It is no secret that's going on DEC knows .

how would you inforce a law like that ? Father lives with son hunts same property father shoots 2 bucks uses sons tag for second buck . Ok how you prove that ? Unless the son rats out dad not likely . DEC just takes all that into accont and makes up the season as they think works the best . They can't stop everyhing even if the wanted to . They use a formula to make those decisions . Not perfect but they get a good idea of what is going on with what there trying to achieve with the deer population. At least if you go read about it on there website that is what they say how accurate it is I don't know

Don't you think dec calculates that into how they give out tags ? And forms the seasons

if you are saying there less hunters then what is the point of all that other stuff you are saying . Less hunters should = more deer population or am I missing something here. Which is good for us remaining Hunters that are left.

I think your best bet is go online see what you want then find out where it is at .And take a drive up to see it .

Voluntary I am ok with but when you start trying to infoce something like that especially on state land it becomes a hassle for law forcement that have better things to do then babysit a bunch of hunters on public land especially.

I don't know about AR, I think I will just take my chances with shooting any legal deer I can . Why ?you cant eat horn. And older deer don't taste as good anyway. And if I want more of a challenge with older bigger deer I will take my chances in a place like the Adirondacks .

Yea I have no problem with any type of "hunting " But I just think it' is in bad form when someone brags about there paid hunt especially when there hunting in a,place that is big money that is giving you a advantage over everyone else . Because they can't afford to pay for access in certain places. But besides that if you think it is fun hunting in a certain way and it is legal why not if you got the cash .

That is not my opinion by the way that is just what i noticed a lot of the times when you see a anti hunting comments on for example YouTube a lot of times I noticed . Hunting for me is about food and having good time . I don't see it as a competition.

I was talking about on state land acually . On private land it is different you have enough acreage the deer never leave you're probably anyway .

Let me play devil' advocate here . But a lot of hunters and Most non hunters see actual hunting as being done on public land ( big woods hunting ) and with know stand or blind . the natural way as other predators hunt . Some would say, land that has limited access is not much different then land that is fenced .

My idea of AR is go hunt a place that has less hunting pressure . I don't believe AR even work , a lot of the time my guess is anything big will get shot out of season before someone actually who follows the law gets a chance to shoot at it .

I saw a few youtube home videos that guys filmed of them selfs hunting on those preserves seemed like they just wanted to try out there new gun or bow on a easy target . Before real hunting season.

Does anyone know if they have those fenced hunts that make it a selling point to make it as real as possible with huge tracts of land and deer that are not use to being close to people . Or is that a failing business model for those places just wondering?

Just for the hell of it one of these days i am going to try one of those cheep goat or hog hunts i see online in pa or goat in NY. Sometimes they have sales I saw as low as $500 That would be the most I would pay for something like that and only because I never did it before. I dont expect it to be like real hunting more like target practice at the range I would imagine.

I never been not my thing but what turns me off even more is instead of having one set price they do it by size of rack . Which make it seem like your getting to pick ahead of time like buying a cow and then just shooting something like in a barn almost . At least if they had one set price and you took a bigger buck out of there it makes it more like a real hunt .

I can't answer your question I don't have all the data the gov does . I am not the head of homeland security or the CIA they know where these animals come from . That's there job to determine who is potentially dangerous and going to cause trouble they know, And should be stopped from coming here or deported.
