A look back 4 years ago.
DoubleDose replied to Grouse's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Another perspective beyond Dem and Rep tribalism. Feelings versus thought. Think JFK, Clinton, and Obama. They all had charisma, or the x factor. Many voted for them because they "liked" them. There have been numerous surveys regarding elections that show voters do not even know the positions, beliefs, or plan of the candidate they will vote for. In 2016, many voted for DJT because they were fed-up with Washington and it's politics. He was the outsider non-politician that was going to drain the swamp. Many voters could look past their feelings about him in 2016. In 2020, 4 years later, he was no longer seen as an outsider and those same voters could not look past their feelings. -

DJT should realize that in the 2020 election, the only person that could beat him was himself...and that is what happened. His own mouth cost him the election. It was not stolen. What he needed in 2020 was not to keep feeding his rabid base, who's vote he had, but to try to gain some more from the moderate left! -
Looks like a grey squirrel to me.

Any WSM ammo is very expensive now.
DoubleDose replied to Grouse's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
The most expensive part of a cartridge is the (brass) case, which is reusable. At those prices, I would think owners of WSM could recoup reloading equipment costs pretty quickly. -
Everyone should be proud of (and love) who and what they are. That in itself does not make you hate others!

Did you watch the news footage? Not many black people coming off the subway car. His racism wasn't just directed at whites. Are you aware that there is an issue with black on asian crime in NYC? The MSM down plays it. Using your logic, if he wanted to kill whites only he would have went to a KKK meeting in the deep south!
-
Why a subway, asked on a hunting site? Because it would be like shooting fish in a barrel! That's why not whole foods in the suburbs. If you are old enough you would know about Colin Ferguson on the LIRR; which this mimics. He was both racist and insane. They are not mutually exclusive. Appreciate that this racial fomenting by the MSM works up exactly people with this combination.

That is circumstantial evidence and not proof. Accurate is there was voter fraud. There always is in every election. Voter fraud is not the true issue here. The election being allegedly stolen is. That means showing voter fraud to a level to change the outcome and/or a conspiracy to effect the same. I agree this has not had its day in court, and probably never will. However, some independent or bipartisan commission investigation that reports the facts and evidence could prove what happened in 2020 election. And after that you will still have believers and nonbelievers on both sides.

There are "smartest" people on both sides of this issue. This is and will be an issue where people on both sides will believe what they want. Both sides LIE! Schiff publicly stated he had the evidence of Trump-Russia collusion and never produced anything (could give the evidence to CNN). Giuliani publicly stated he had the evidence of voter fraud and never produced it (could give it to FOXNews). They both had press conferences but never produced evidence.

This is not entirely accurate. The lawsuits being brought to the court are being dismissed from being heard. The lawsuits have not had an opportunity to prove their claims. The dismissals could be for many reasons like technicalities, processes errors, jurisdiction, or lack of sufficient evidence to proceed.

These are happening in Democrat lead cities, so before overreacting, understand these are mostly peaceful shootings!

To " I ask anyone to prove me wrong": I am not disagreeing with your sentiment, but your methodology; and thankfully our legal system does not work that way. The burden is not to prove to you something did not happen (innocence). The burden is on you to prove that it did (guilt). To "Many people agree. These are very smart people too.": Great minds think alike and fools seldom differ!

I've always said that there are legally unkillable deer that no one knows exist. Extremely rare and unlikely, but possible.

That map needs to be understood to win. People vote, not land. The most densely populated areas (more people than land) are blue, and the less populated areas (more land than people) are red. Further, this is why at the Federal level we have the electoral college, otherwise the densely populated east and west coast would decide elections for the whole less populated middle of the country.

OK, This Reads Like The Safe Act
DoubleDose replied to DirtTime's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Unfortunately, and more problematic, is way more than 50% of the pro-gun people don't know what the "A" in AR stands for. -
Historically, the DEC wanted them eradicated as a non-native species. No regulations. Then a regulation was passed protecting them. They are highly destructive to both fauna and flora; and once have a foothold become near impossible to eradicate. I suspect the politicians see a seperate fee wild pig license as a new revenue stream.

It's the winners that write history.

Civilians with arms that fight back against an army/soldier shift to being combatants and are fair game. These are the rules of engagement and the US followed this in Iraq. Killing these "civilians" is not a war crime as they are combatants.

A true never injury will take 1 year or more to improve/resolve; and some never "heal".

That top one ticks all the boxes, mass, symmetry, tine length, spread, etc. all in balance.

This is so true. A friend with an MBA said the fairest way, and the Fed will get more money, is a flat no exemption or deduction tax. Let's say 10%. Whatever you make, whenever and wherever you make money 10% is for Uncle Sam payed immediately. If you lose money, take a loss, that is on you and not Uncle Sam. The 10% could be taken at payroll (like now), bank, brokerage account, etc. Think how simple tax season would be too. This is the same business model organized crime uses.
