All of the above laws are unconstitutional but they stand and are enforced until someone challenges it through the legal system. If it makes it to SCOTUS, they have the option of not taking it on. Fees are not new. The BIGGER issue here is not the fees, but "...and carry liability insurance." Firstly, the government is forcing you to buy a product to exercise a right! Blatantly unconstitutional. Secondly, how much coverage $1M, $2M, $10M? What will the premiums be? Insurance companies can have a windfall field day with this. Will it be like DMV where the Insurance company will notify the government if/when the policy lapses and now your permit is revoked? You can be sure our Governor and politicians will be considering this for NY especially if SCOUTS rules pro-2A on carry permit.

There was a gun shop on LI selling ARs with installed bolt release kits that did exactly this. They got a visit from the police and were told 1) cease and desist or lose your license, and 2) contact everyone they sold the ARs to, to have the guns returned for additional modifications to make them Safe Act compliant. They also wanted the name and address of everyone that purchased one and did not return for additional modifications.

I am sure NYS will make these illegal (like bump stocks). It's too easy to bypass the bolt lock/release and make semi-auto.

Read as many manuals and articles as you can get. The more knowledge the better. You mentioned light loads, always stick to and within the reloading manuals, both minimum & maximum charges, to be safe. Light charges under certain circumstance can be just as dangerous and catastrophic as over charges. That being said, it is not rocket science and can be very enjoyable. I think the issue is trying to find a balance between using the cams for pre-hunt observation and scouting versus active hunting. A cam alerting you where to hunt tomorrow should be okay (that is scouting) , a cam telling you where to hunt today/now is hunting for you. In Alaska you cannot fly and hunt on the same day. This is so the plane cannot be used as part of the hunt which would be a gross advantage.

Nothing new here. 1) The inanimate device called a gun is the problem. It is the gun robbing, raping, shooting, looting, burning, and killing people; not other people. Since there are more guns in America than people it is just a matter of time before all of us are exterminated and the guns will control the country. 2) Improve the economy by driving out companies like Remington and Amazon that will employ 1000s of people and bring in countless sustainable revenue. 3) Make the police, not the criminal, the problem. Post WWII, there was an entire cottage industry of sporterizing military rifles. Mostly Mausers, but also Springfields and all others. Some of the sporterizing was done more enmass by gunsmiths, including in NYC (Griffin & Howe), but there were also those doing it individually at home. The quality can range from rough/poor to outright works of art.

Andre owns the company and the rights. He licensed it out and the licensee did not adhere to the quality requirements in the license, so the license was canceled. Andre is/was not responsible for the poor quality, the licensee was and hence his basis to terminate the license. He will now have the option of going forward himself or finding a new licensee.
