  1. I use a Gatco diamond hone system with course, medium and fine stones. Finish by stropping with Bark River black and then white compounds.
  2. Wasn't McCain responsible for a major fire incident on a carrier when he threw a tantrum? I believe it was buried because of his father's political ties.
  3. Yeah, finger grooves either fit you or they suck. These fit like the knife was made for me.
  4. Usually one of these. The top one is a J A Henckels that I've used for over 40 years. It still rides in my pack. For the last 5 years or so I've been using one or the other of two Grohmanns, a #1 or a #3.
  5. Retro inside and out. Very cool! Best of luck and safe travels.
  6. Nice bit of work by your wife and the taxi! Well done.
  7. Oh, that's gonna run ya. Looks like you impacted square on the nose of the unit, yeah? Glad nobody was hurt.
  8. I'm no expert, but I shot a 271# many years ago, and guys in my club have shot a few over the years. I would say certainly well over 200#, but less than 300.
  9. I dedicate every season to my dad and my grandfather. I also carry each of their rifles at least one day every season. It keeps me connected to the two men who instilled in me, my life's passion.
  10. This is sad news. I'm very sorry for your loss. Sending you positive energy.
  11. Anyone else apply for Wyoming big game tags? If so, any luck? I drew my Muley tag with just one pref point. Already booked my flight.
  12. Do you use a surrogate hen of some sort, or do you have an incubator to hatch them out. Raised in the suburbs, I have no knowledge of these things.
  13. A trip to Pa.or Ohio sounds like a nice change and a good time for a group of you guys, especially as you say, to start some new traditions to replace those that have been lost. I wish you all a lot of luck with that. I also agree with Lawdwaz. If family obligations and financial hurdles can be overcome, I would highly recommend a western hunt for mulies, pronghorns, elk or whatever. I've been going to Wyoming every year since I retired and I have a blast every time I go. Again, good luck with your adventure.
  14. You mean like the Dems have been doing for three years.
  15. Do you guys go DYI or do you use an outfitter?
  16. I understand, and believe me, I wish I could post photos. The problem is my old Samsung 3 is about 9 y/o and the lens is so scratched, everything comes out real hazy and fuzzy. Sorry. If it's a problem, I won't post on the thread anymore.
  17. Pronghorn braised with leeks from the garden, mushrooms, serranos, barley and beef broth served with a side of spinach. Like buttah As always, there was the ever present Augustiner Brau Edelstoff.
  18. No other seasonings besides salt and pepper?
  19. How long ago was that? The last two 452's .22 LR, that I bought were $525 and $550 and they were going for more than that at the time in 2018.
  20. Go to Rimfirecental.com. The guys on the CZ page will be able to give you more info than you require or desire. GLWS, if that's what you're looking to do.
  21. I love that stuff! When I make it, I follow the package directions plus add 1/3 cup of REAL maple syrup.
  22. Pronghorn stroganoff. Sorry no photos. I'm much better with a fork than a camera.
