Forest Hunter
I have asked around and it seems like nobody really plays any instruments anymore. I mean children wise, my school has a band but im sure it is less then 20 people. Does anyone out there play any instruments? I thought this would be something to talk about so i said "oh what the hell"

Forest Hunter
I have been playing the ukulele for years. I dont seem to catch many people who have played something and stuck to it.
bubba
I played drums in high school, then in a few bands after. My daughter is a music teacher at high school level, and she says the same, that playing an instrument is becoming a thing of the past. She blames it on the technology of today for kids. Deerthug
I played viola in HS. My daughter plays Alto Sax since 4th grade now shes in 10th and the only girl in her band that plays it. I hope she continues since we ended up buying it rather than renting from the school.
MountainHunter
One of my biggest regrets is never having learned to play an instrument. My preference would have been to have learned to play either the piano or guitar. I envy people who can go over to a piano and begin to play or pick up a guitar and begin to play. Our daughter plays the clarinet and loves it. She is in Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band. It brings her a lot of enjoyment.
