Going to ohio, meeting with landowners, drive away from the last one with a signed permission slip, pull into hotel, and truck sh!ts the bed on Saturday at 4 pm. Aint nothig open, but nice shop is gonna look at it in a.m. on sunday when everything in ohio is closed...people are nice here for sure. Guy thunks its a water related misfire but gonna scan it in a.m. drove it off lot new, no accidents all maintence 2006 dakota....and damn thing does this 5 hrs from home. Just paid it off 4 weeks ago. Lol wtf. Sharing my pain since i ant go anywhere. Gotta work on monday...the ladies may have to come get me tomorrow if its a sensor issue or engine is toast. Cant get parts til monday.

I do however want to say there is a bar grill across street that will be getting a few bucks from me tonight. Good wings and cheap beer.

Yeah, instant stress being 350 miles from home. Im hoping its a misfire issue. It makes sense but the damn thing went into limp mode with the flashing engine light. It was raining when it happened but i didnt go into a puddle. Hoping maybe water got into a wire...easy enough to replace plugs and wires. Hotel is in right spot though in a tiny plaza with a bar grill and an advanced auto lol. The mgr got me connected with the shop and the shop owner drove out to see how it was running to see if we could drive it in the a.m. to the shop which is a mile away. Super nice people here...country folk.

That sucks phade, but youre in a great place for nice people. I do have to say that when I lived in Ohio, the best part was how nice the people were. It was almost culture shock moving back here. Best of luck with your truck! A fix under a couple grand is less than payments would be lol.

did you check your plug wires to see if there is arcing, do it in the dark with engine running. could be a mouse or chipmunk nibbled on a wire, look for nests under plastic engine covers, or could just be age of wires. i see this all the time.

Truck is ooc for today. Ladies coming to get us. Number 6 cyl misfire. Checked through problems in order and looks like either wire to injector or pcm. Injector was pulled and put in another cyl and she was sparying fine. No spraying when in 6. Coils all good. Same w/wires and plugs. Ugh...gotta leave truck and come back down to get it once fixed. Im thinking pcm is toast...online search seems to show this is more common than the wire going bad.

Was sitting in same said bar and grill at noon for lunch and planned to watch bills game. Then i noticed the sign and browns jerseys everywhere. Bar is north central ohio browns backers homebase. I left after the reception i got for cheering the first bills td....lol.
