So how does hurricane-type weather impact deer and more importantly my hunting? Seems like she will be in my area (westchester county) by Sunday. Obviously I will not be hunting the 20+ mph winds, but will it impact deer movement positively or negatively on Saturday?

They could be fairly be active before the front pushes in.

atmosphere pressure and all that with the hurricane.. im sure will effect deer in one way or another.. whether it helps hunting or not im not sure

If this storm takes the right path, we all may be effected by it, even those of us in WNY. Hopefully it stays off the coast

They are saying that more of the models are coming together and showing it hitting us tues weds. Fun times as long as it is over by the weekend so we can get out hunting.

Obviously deer will be up at some point with the fronts pushing through, but there's a line in the proverbial sand where it no longer helps you hunting because the conditions are too miserable...and I'll usually sit in anything. I think this may be one of those times that come around ever so rarely.

Of course I have my Vacation Scheduled during this storm...SMH! Planned this Trip (10/27 thru 11/4) with hopes of hitting the Rut according to the Moon Phase, looks like I'll be spending a fair amount of time in the Cabin. No possibility of changing my Vacation with work...hoping for the best!

i still cant see how water temps are warm enough up here for it to stay as a strong storm

Should be a bunch of new blow downs for deer to graze on and hide in after the storm come through if it is all the say it will be
