This is a perfect example of how hunting is turning the focus on hunter vs. hunter competition. I hate it! This is what is making hunting a cut-throat activity that has hunters all jockeying for advantages over each other and climbing over each other's backs just to out-do each other. The whole mentality is strangling hunting.

This is just another cleaned up attempt at the WHA from a few years back that where the "hunters" would dart, measure and release the deer. Catch and release is not what hunting is - the hunt is not about the kill, but without it as the objective, it is not hunting.

These guys are trying to turn Deer hunting into Bass fishing. Its a bunch of crap and will not catch on. The two sports are way too different. Look who has a big part in this, Kevin VanDam, a Bass "pro".

I agree.  Deer hunting is not about competition.  It's about hunting and outdoor skills.  A man can be the best deer hunter in America without taking a huge number of giant bucks. 

I know many very good deer hunters who take a doe for meat each year, then spend the rest of the season hunting for a good trophy.  They don't always get a buck, and pass up a lot of small ones, but when they do connect, the buck is huge!

These guys are expert deer hunters!  Not hunters who kill a lot of big bucks that can only be taken when a lot of money is spent to be in the right place with the right guide at the right time.

I've always thought hunting is more of a traditional way of life, not a competition. Seems to me this AWA outfit has another agenda.

I can see the hunters now with great big sponsor logos on their camo, walking around looking like the side of a Nascar race car. ;D  Don't these jerks understand that hunting has been commercialized enough already without this kind of nonsense? They're trying their darndest to turn it into a spectator sport.

Ever try to imagine what hunting will look like 50 years from now? I can sure conjure up some rather humorous images (and some that are not all that humorous) that unfortunately may not be all that far from what the whole thing eventually evolves into. Can't happen? ........ Within my lifetime, I have seen some ridiculous wild changes to hunting that I never would have believed would ever happen.

I wouldn't mind it if they actually tried to pass on some tips here and there, but they don't even try to do that anymore. It's all one big infomercial that features fictional hunting. But this latest dopey attempt at commercializing hunting is worse than useless. I think it is even bad for hunting and the attitudes of hunters. But then, that's just my perspective.

Are you using anything?The patch really helped me.I smoked 23 years.I have not touched a cig.in 5years.Hang in there.Another week or two and you got it.It did get a bit heated with the wife but she understood.Hang in there Buddy.Its worth it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I appreciate it...I am using chantix...the worst part is the habit....routine stuff...like the cup of coffee in the morning....or driving....my jaw is sore from chewing gum...lol. I got it this time though

The worst for me was first thing in the morning. I used the patch for a month and another week, then I just stopped wearing them.
