Thanks! 6yrs ago this was a 7acre corn field, We planted 5,000 larch on it for deer cover and left a 2 acre strip down the center for the food plot.Seems to be working. NYSuperSportsman
This is my new FP. the whole field is about 3.5 acres but I did about 1.75 of clover, chicory and winter rye mix. and another 1/2 acre in purple top turnips and shot plot mix.. Soybeans didn't get a ton of height but, they do have tons of pods and should be a great food source. About 3 acres.. Chicory clover and some weeds..... but ill take care of them next year! Lots of apples this year also! QDM has really become a way of life for me! Edited September 14, 2013 by NYSuperSportsman

WNYBuckHunter
Here are some pics I took this weekend Heres my big double stand that I moved from a property I lost to the farm. Its right in a transition zone of thick, young brush and trees that sits between more open, mature hardwoods and a huge Ag field. I had a few encounters with a couple of very nice bucks in this area last year, but needed the set to be closer to the cover. Once bow is done, there is a full blind that will go up there, which makes it a perfect stand for taking others in. Here are a couple of shots of trails we have been cleaning up. Trying to get them as twig and debris free as possible. We will be running leaf blowers down them this week to clean them up the last little bit. Plots/cages that went in recently...
Grizz1219
I might fence a small section of my plots just to see if they are being eaten...
WNYBuckHunter
Grizz, the cages I made are only @ 3 feet in diameter. No need to fence off a large section.
