The tech has ALREADY been in the cars!  That feature where the manufacturer can unlock your car for you could just as easily disable the vehicle.

I just got back from Sweden and rented a Volvo. It had this feature on the speedometer that put a red line at the speed limit. It would change the instance you entered a new speed zone. If you went over, it flashed the speed limit at you. Pain in the ass, but Sweden has a zero tolerance for speeding. They can/will fine you for one km over the limit. They also have zero alcohol limit. Designated drivers are a big thing in Sweden.
I got used to it. They're already tracking my phone.

Every vehicles navigation does that. Waze too
