I had a Z28 before I bought my PSE DNA.It was very tough to decide between the DNA and the hunter. It actually came down to a coin toss to decide.Elite bows are just plain butter in your hands, there may be a few thats a touch faster but you will have a tough time finding one that is so dead in the hand and accurate as a elite

Most modern bows will do the job. Its just that I havent found one that will do it smoother and more hunter friendly than Elite.

I normally shoot 60 lb bows for my hunting rigs. Moogs bow is 80 lbs. I found it much easier to shoot than I expected amd hit where I was aiming on the first shot with it. that speaks volumes imo.

Service...my bow was under water for a full dah when the house flooded this summer. dropped it off and they gave it a makeover with new ss hardware new bearings and more. tuned it...then handed it back to me with no charge...saying I can use my money better on the house. Not many companies see the big picture.Elite does.

I've shot Mathews for the last 10 years. I've been patiently waiting for them to come out with something better than my SBXT for the past few years but every year their lineup is basically the same bow from last year, just tweaked a little. This year may be the year I go to Elite. The new E32 & E35 look sweet! The only drawback with Elite is that some of the 2 track cams can be a pain to tune. I will be looking hard at Elite after hunting season!

I picked up a brand new 2012 Elite hunter left over from last season, have to say that bow may be the last bow I ever buy. I'm drawing 70lbs and it doesn't even feel like 50, the draw is super smooth, the let-off is insane, can hold it back all day if I really needed to. Was shooting 3 inch 50 yard groups third day I had the bow. Gotta say, Elite aside from their awesome bows has amazing customer service as Phade mentioned, and the lifetime guarantee along with the insane shootability of the bow was what helped me pull the trigger and I haven't been happier with a bow. Already helped me take 3 deer and a turkey this season

Picked up a 2013 hunter. There isn't a smoother drawing bow on the market. The only down side is that due to the dual track cam system limb consistency is a must. Elite had missed that mark. Mine had bad cam lean due to a weak top limb. Had to shim the cams to correct the lean. The lean was causing center shot to be way off.

Did they give you new limbs?

With the season looming I just shimmed it. They usually want you to send them the bow. They try to deny is a bad limb from what I've heard. There is a reason you can buy shim kits directly from them.

no dealers close but they're a quality built bow when compared to anything else out there.  Anyone I know of that shoots an Elite has no complaints.  Target shooter/hunters Levi Morgan and Darrin Christenberry are both now shooting Elite bows.  Both of them can shoot and wouldn't shoot a lesser bow.

I have my eyes & hands on a 2012 Answer.  I have it set at 54# and it is shooting sweet.  I dialed it in a few days ago indoors then went outdoors the next day.  Shooting off an elevated stand it shot smooth and fast enough with my logs (Easton ACC 360).  I carried it tonight and will carry it in the AM tomorrow.

I borrowed it from a friend and depending on circumstances, may be buying it.  It has a CBE xmas tree (!!) sight, HHA rest and Elite quiver.  And a HUMONGOUS peep sight that I like!!

Can't wait for next year already!!

Even with the problem with my limbs I love my bow. Even at 72 I never worry about icing up and not being able to draw that bow. Also being able to hold the bow back forever helps. Elite advertises 80% let off but realistically is closer to 83 or 84%

I'll be up-grading next year sometime. Trying to decide between an Elite or Bowtech. Both are rated very well, but think the Bowtech is a little quicker?

If you are buying new, shoot both manufactures bows that you're interested in.  Shoot them again a few days later then make a decision.  IMO, it isn't about speed at all.................

Lawdwaz is 100% right on the money.Feel, shootability, smoothness and the fit of a bow matter for me most.I wanted to try a speed bow so I bought my PSE DNA and used that this year. Its a great bow but it cant hold a candle to my Z28.Like a idiot I sold my Z and am now selling my DNA so I can get either another Z28 or I will shoot a few new bows.If I dont shoot something that makes me feel good I will have another Z28
