A couple cool little visitors to the feeder last weekend at my friends........................................

I just filled the feeder but haven't seen any action yet .

I like seeing those little squirts. My neighbor's pines harbor a bunch of different types and it's always fun for the kids and me to figure out which species are there.

Very cool…I like watching those little guys in my feeder. Its my morning  thing to do. My wife says I look like an old fart sitting there looking at birds.  …What ever

The birds have been showing up here sporadically . Normally there is a crap load of them .

A tufted titmouse and a junco...

 

I identified a titmouse for my daughter a few years back..

 

She said " What an unfortunate name for a bird.."....

I'm still trying to figure out the origin of the name "titmouse".

I have a dark eyed Junco nest near my porch... I found a recording on line of some Junco calls and played them while sitting on the porch last summer... I had junco's landing on my railing a few feet from me in response to the call... it was pretty cool.

I love watching the birds and I have literally hundreds of them coming to my feeders.

 

I just opened my fifth 50 pound bag of black oil sunflower  seeds and I didn't start feeding until deer (gun)  season.

 

I have to chuckle...In my younger years I hunted crows a lot and have killed literally hundreds of them..Now I keep a patch of lawn cleared  of snow out by my garage where I put table scraps for my "pet" crows.

Funny how the older I get the more interesting these little critters are to watch... they fascinate me. Well, they say your mind is the first thing to go with age..lol

Yeah it's kind of like staring at a fish aquarium. It's all just interesting, and a bit relaxing.

The birds are hitting our feeder hard this winter.  But strangely, the squirrels have not been an issue.  I've gone to a lot of work in the past to electrify my feeder and now I have no use for it.

About a week ago I seen about 12 Robins in my yard.
