Best Tree stand Combinations

I know this has probably been discussed on here, but I'm looking to get some new hang-on tree stands and stick combos for this year, what are the best combinations out there? thanks guys.

Are you looking for a stand to hang and leave or pack in and out?

If its to pack in and out, a good aluminum stand and sticks is the way to go. If you are just gonna hang it, I like the Muddy Outfitter stand and whatever ladder sticks cost me the least. The ones Dicks and Gander have both work fine. The Ameristeps are good too.

The gorilla XL loungers are as comfy as they get if you can still find them. They're a bit heavy, so they're not too pack in pack out friendly. I have 4 of them and they're getting pretty beat up from the elements. I'm thinking I may go with the milleniums this year. If I were to need a stand for mobility it would be a lone wolf hang-on even know they aren't the most comfortable stands.

This is a good deal for stand and sticks. I have these rails and they work great. Stand looks pretty comfortable also. Where in NY are you located?

This differs from your original post. Best and affordable and comfortable rarely go hand in hand.

Cheap would be dicks stands. Comfortable....m100 or the large heavy rivers edge hangons. Best...lone wolf.

I am all about a Muddy Outfitter for a hang on. Very comfortable seat and the seat height is one of the taller out there. They are are about $150. A lot of people are crazy about the lone wolf, I have no exp with those, also man brands out there that may look comfy but aren't or they weigh a ton as far as lock ons go. Trying to hang a heavy lock on from 15-20', heck any height for that matter can be a chore.

I also own Muddy Sticks... The ones with the folding steps and wonder where they have been all my life. Great stuff....but if I were just leaving them in place I would go for cheaper and heavier sticks. I use my sticks and bring 4-5 Cranford Deluxe EZY steps in case I need a few more feet and always one above the stand to aide as a handhold when I get in the stand.

Wrong place to ask a question like this as most ny guys don't hunt mobile. There is nothing better than an lw and sticks. Nothing.
