First Deer

I got started late in life with hunting. Got my first deer yesterday after a few years of trying on various state lands. Used a fawn bleat and had this doe walk up behind me. Took my shot at 10 yards, she ran about 30 feet and went down. Interesting experience dressing a deer for the first time but it went well.

My wife cooked some venison goulash today and it came out great.

It gets easier with time. After you got a couple under your belt you know when to go and when to take it slow.
