ATbuckhunter
There's millions of acres of state land that you can hunt. Might be harder then private land, but it gives you a place to hunt.
Borngeechee
So im looking on the DEC site and looks like starting from Orange county and up, I can use rifles. ATbuckhunter
Be careful though because stewart Forrest doesn't allow the use of rifles for deer season.

philoshop
The first few times can be tough. Lots of learning to do. Stick with it and you'll figure it out though, even if you have to do it on your own.
bubba
LOL with all the horror stories posted here about state land over the past few years (getting shot at, fighting over deer etc etc) you wonder why a person wants to find private land. it is like you are sending him to slaughter. Elmo
I suggest you do some scouting now when you can. You can buy the license but don't buy any DMPs until you've scouted and know where you're going to hunt. You have till Oct. 1st to buy DMPs.
bkln
You can't get them from the sofa, so go out there and hunt, just do it. Like Elmo said, scout first and take names later...:-)
