Our Small Food Plots 2014

Finally got up to my old mans to toss the plots in.  This was about 2 weeks ago.  Two small plots.

 

Soil is super rocky w/shale.  Its been getting better and better over the last 2 years though.

 

 

First field, prep:

 

 

 

Second field prep, only did 1/2 the field because we had good clover growing.

 

 

 

This was from Sunday, growth over 13 days from planting, with minimal rain.

 

Field 1 (1/2 is Brassicas w/turnips, other side is winter oats)

 

Field 2 (winter oats in the front, old clover in the back)

Rocky, you got nothing compared to the rocks I got in one of my food plots lol.  I can walk across my one food plot without touching dirt . Nice job.

I think its pretty small compared to some of you guys They are two 1 acre plots.

Small update w/pics. It seems to be filling in real good...  Wonder if I should drop some fert during bow season?  Never really did brassicas and they seem to be coming in really good no?

Looks good considering were in a drought right now. The streams on my side john have dried up,Never saw that before.

Yeah, our spring fed little stream is dry as a bone.
