Lawdwaz
Yes, I've had some success with a bleat call in a can from Quaker Boy. I've never had much luck with a grunt call but just purchased a new one referenced here on this site that sounds better than anything I have personally used or heard. I've rattled a few bucks in over the years but never a hog.
NFA-ADK
I like the doe cans during rut. Grunt call I always have but use very little. I tend to call more during rut than prerut. My last 2 came to calls. Nov 7th and 9th. Right place right time and proper calls. Check out Peter Fiduccia's videos. This is a doe in heat call vs alarm call. His DVD is very cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJMGYuEdVmM
NYP
I think the problem i have with the can is I tend to overuse it I feel its not working and call every few minutes. Peter Fiduccia is a really nice guy I met him his wife and son at a few shows and caught some of his seminars he was always pleasant and always eager to talk Edited October 1, 2014 by NYP
deerpassion
Never have I had a bleat can work for me, however I never go in the stand without my grunt call... Never really had any luck with rattling ...
genesee_mohican
I have grunted a few bucks in that I've taken with the bow but have not had luck with the 'can' doe in heat call. I don't rattle much because I think there has to be a high buck to doe ratio for it to work and it may spook deer more often than not. THHuntNY
Shot at a buck and missed arrow flew right over his back. Just to be safe and make sure I didn't hit him I checked my arrow. Got back up in the stand nocked an arrow and did a Doe bleat kinda thing and a doe appeared out of thin air. Haha it all happened with in 30 seconds

DROpTINE
I've had luck with the can doe bleat in a bunch of different situations. I've used it on deer from a distance and watched them change route to come near the sound. They weren't running in but definitely seemed much more at ease thinking another deer was near. I've also had success in deer that were spooked but not by me. I watched 2 doe sprint as if being chased about 150-200yds away running away the opposite direction. I hit the can 3x and the deer made a huge circle right to me. I mean right on top of me, 5yds away panting like a race horse. Both deer were breathing so hard the tongues were hanging out like dogs. Was so cool to experience.

Peter Fiduccia is a really nice guy I met him his wife and son at a few shows and caught some of his seminars he was always pleasant and always eager to talk I used to overuse as well. I would think that if a buck was near by he'd run in to check out this bleating doe but nothing like that yet. Now I more or less use it throughout the day every 1-1 1/2 hours I'll do one bleat then wait. My theory is when I use the can I'm just telling the deer "it's ok just a deer here"-
gfdeputy2
never had luck with the bleat cans but have called a few with my grunt tube
The_Real_TCIII
I've gotten many a 1.5 year old buck to come to a grunt but no luck calling at bigger bucks. They seem to ignore it.
NFA-ADK
I called in two doe using this call by mouth. Maaa, Maaaaaa, MOMMA. They charged me from behind, problem was I was trying to get the buck in front of me to move. I start off low then get louder as the fawn is more stressed, just like a kid calling for mom after falling off the bike. I just passed a fawn so I believe the two doe where looking for it when I called. Today my buddy called in a doe with a fawn distress
Taylormike
This is a tricky one to say the least. Ok, here is my opinion on calls. All calls have there time and place. I have called in quite a few and have lost quite a few. What I have learned over my 17 year bow hunting experiences is that the best call hands down is my Fawn Bleat, I have called in a lot of deer including Momma and some bucks too. I harvested a nice 5 point with a drop tine about 12 years ago in Niagara County strictly by pulling him in from about 75 yards out. I have also scared or put many deer on high alert because of the, grunt, can bleat, or fawn bleat. With this said, if you see a buck or any deer for that matter in the distance or walking away, why not try and give a bleat/grunt or two...? That deer is moving away anyway. However, if they are close and you are in-line to interrupt them stay calm and get ready to shoot. There is no right or wrong and luck has a lot to do with it... Good Luck!
