Dan92
Has anyone ever used one of those chair blinds when bow hunting, i dont have a tree stand yet and would like at least some sort of cover and concealment, plus its a nice comfy chair not wet leaves or a rock next to a tree. If you have used one, how large is it once set up and is it enough to be able to draw my bow in.http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toys/Ameristep-Magnum-Chair-Blind/9151593/product.html?refccid=QFPT2ESV25GJP6COKLOWNZI6HY&searchidx=
bkln
I use pop-up blind, enough room to draw and nice when its raining. This one doesn't really look comfortable, just my 2 cents....
Dan92
im like half and half about this one, only reason i like this over a pop up is its smaller and easier to transport and get up and down in the dark.
Jason118
I think you would be restricted to about 70 degrees shooting in one and it seems I always place myself where I'm looking many directions. To be fair I've never used one or know anybody that has. You could get a pop up for half the price that goes up in no time and be able to shoot threw the mesh totally concealed and bring a chair. Doc
The picture in their ad looks like impending disaster when the guy releases. It would appear that there is no room for forward movement of the limbs. They might just be unknowingly tipping you off to a huge shortfall of that thing. growalot
I have one and its a breeze to carry...set up and shoot from...with a gun....even with short limbs .drawing back your elbow would hit the back wall...so I think that roof opening would just be leaking problem and no use for a bow....mine cost 49.00 Edited October 7, 2014 by growalot
fasteddie
I gave away a single chair blind as it was too uncomfortable and restricted the view . I replaced it with a 2-man chair blind and use it for gun hunting . I cannot conceive trying to shoot a bow out of it . I am only 5'8" and even the pop up blind like the Ameristep Dog House blind is too small because you have to stick the arrow out when you draw and can still hit your elbow on the back wall . The hub blinds are hefty and you need a folding chair but that's the way I would go . Most are easy to set up .
ants
I have to agree. It doesn't look comfortable at all and seems a bit restrictive. I would go for a pop up blind.
moog5050
I would be a stuffed sausage in there. I agree that a two man blind with a chair is the way to go, even if more effort.
fasteddie
A Hub Blind has straps to carry it like a backpack but is uncomfortable to walk with . You could haul it along with a fold up chair with a golf cart or deer hauler cart .
JJBat150
I have one that I bought 3 or 4 years ago.... Works OK for spring turkey hunting with a shotgun. I use it more this time of year during my daughters' high school soccer games. Works great keeping the wind and rain off ya.
dbHunterNY
Those are more for fun hunting. Not enough room to draw easily.
