Haha yes , my doe has something like that on her also I think the neighbor shot her with a BB gun at some point. My profile picture is my girl. Since she was a baby I took care of her now she hangs out in my yard. And yes I rehabilitate before everyone starts.

i passed a buck with a healed arrow hole nice 8 point looked to be all closed up very much like that one

Looks like a broadhead went in or right through. Looks close to the spinal cord too.

Been seeing a fair share of wounded deer here, More than usual. Someone needs to do more practicing or stop shooting on the run. More in likely, both.

It's a wound for sure, but let's not assume that every malady that wildlife suffers is manmade.....lol. There are so many ways that deer get injured that are simply a part of their normal life. It is impossible to tell from these two pictures exactly what he cause of that mark was.

It sure looks above the spine to me as well.  But how can anyone make a judgement with those pictures if its even a wound at all?  Could be, could be just a small patch of hair that was raked off in breeding, could be snow fell off a tree and landed there, could be many things.
