good book as well, but I found the background noise to be a bit distracting.

I haven't read his Guide to Haute Cuisine. When I went to order it, it was $45 or more. Was it any good? He is writing another book/cookbook now which hopefully will be out within a year.

It was decent. It's not really a cook book. It's along the line of MeatEater as it follows his adventures as he tries to replicate some of the dishes found in Escoffier's Le Guide Culinaire.

I just watched a couple episodes. Man, first he ate liver with gall bladder juice on top. Then another one he ate mule deer testicle. I've eaten a bunch of exotic stuff, but neither one of those are happening.
