ants
Does anyone own one of these? Im looking to replace a Kawasaki 360 with something bigger and with EFI. This one looks good for the money. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. I think the 570 was new for 14.
dirt_a_KISS
I have an 850 polaris and can honestly say I love it! Very nice handling, nice suspension and quick throttle response. The 570 shold be the same thing, just not all the horse power. Ive heard it's still a quick machine

At least for the spots I travel. I think I'll give the 570 a go, as soon as the weather breaks. Thanks

MACHINIST
I had a brute force 750 now i have a 800 Polaris.I would say the BF had a touch more oomph but the ride goes to the Polaris for sure.I think Polaris makes a great all around machine
ants
So I bit the bullet a few weeks back and bought one to replace my sons Kawi. 360. So far its a great machine but it starts hard when its cold out. Kind of like the battery is weak. I did some research and found out that this is a problem with this model. Took it back to the dealer, less than 2 weeks and 20 miles after the purchase. They found nothing wrong. Battery and system tested fine for them. (of course) The service manager even told me that the batteries they put in these things are "not the greatest". Then he gets all pissy because I wouldn't pay the $29.00 labor fee for them to test the battery and check the thing out!! L-O F'ing L!!…. What b@lls. After I made it clear that I wasn't paying anything, (and I wasn't a jerk about it) He tried laying a guilt trip on me saying how he is losing money..?? What a D!ck!!.I wouldn't have had the nerve to even try to charge a repeat customer that fee………. Maybe its me…. Times have changed.
grampy
I used to think that car dealerships treated you like crap after the sale. That is until I bought a couple of atv's from a dealership on Hoosic Street in Troy. I'll never buy anything from them again! Where has customer service and satisfaction gone to in the last 20 years? mlammerhirt
How cold was it when the machine was starting hard? There are some real nightmares out there if you research the "hard starting Polaris 570" I was looking into getting one as well, but might stay clear. woodchuck
I just bought a 570 ranger, it starts fine right now. Turns over 3 times then starts every time. Seems to turn over slow but I wonder if if just the new starter they are using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are some real nightmares out there if you research the "hard starting Polaris 570" I was looking into getting one as well, but might stay clear. It was in the mid 30's. unheated garage. When I turn the switch it kicks, dies for half a second then turns over. Its been in the high 60's lately and it starts just fine. I know Im going to have problems in the fall/winter. I have been reading on line that a lot of owners just replace the battery with a better quality brand,,,problem solved. I hate to do it on a brand new machine, but the dealership and Polaris don't want to know anything. I'll just spent 100 bucks or so and be done with it. Check out the location of the battery, if your looking. It sits down on the frame, behind the front diff. and its a bitch to get to. I didn't notice it until after I had the machine a day or two. Other than the battery issues and a non existent front rack, the ATV is great so far. It rides and handles awesome and has tons of power. Culvercreek hunt club
I have an '03 500 that I bought new and it has been a hard starting pig in the cold since day one. Usually kicks over fine but you have to babysit it until it warms up so it doesn't stall. Once it is warm it pops right over and idles like a champ. Its just like starting a car. I use to hate standing there and playing with the choke on cold mornings. I just got rid of a Kawasaki that was cold blooded as hell. You couldn't take your hands off the thing for at least 5 minutes or it would die.

dirt_a_KISS
The only thing I noticed with my 850 is the cold can be hard on the battery, but other than that it's runs fine

sbuff
Used it around the house this weekend. For the 5900 price out the door I'm not sure you can find a better deal...nothing but happy with it.
ants
Yeah.. all in all I like mine a lot. And 5900 is what I paid too. It was 6500 with a $300 rebate = 6200 when I made the deal. When I went to pick it up a few days later the salesman told me that the rebate was now $600= 5900….. Sweet. It rides and handles awesome. Just had it out this morning. Fletch
I have been on the fence on a 570 for a month or so. The guy here had em for 5499 last month but down in PA they were $4999!! I am waiting to see what offers and rebates get the prices here when the 2016s come out. If I can get $4999 how can I say no!!
ants
Polaris has rebates all the time…I bought one in April and I think it was a 7 or 800 dollar rebate$$ Have to dig out the paperwork to be sure of the amount, but it was substantial, I ended up paying WAY less than the advertised price…Keep watching online for POLARIS ATV rebates…. They change every month.
airedale
Just adding a quick review on the Polaris 570 sportsman after a year and a half ownership. First of all I am not a trail rider that goes on long distance rides. I got this machine for light duty work around my small farm, stuff like hauling feed or hay and pulling a small wagon for yard work and light duty stuff along with hopefully helping me drag out a big buck some day. These work tasks have been performed flawlessly so far. Starting mine has not been a problem for two winters in sometimes pretty cold conditions. I am an old guy so I do not get too crazy going fast or taking jumps but I can say she goes right along and handles well for me on all types of terrain, for now I have no complaints and I am happy with the purchase. Al Pretty much how I use mine too.,…Although I bought it for my son, I use it around here during deer season. It handles better in tight spaces than my big 700 does and has good power. I broke down and bought a better battery for it. The stock battery was weak and a joke ( common problem because Polaris totally cheaped out). Cost me 80 bucks (but on a machine that is less than 6 months old???), good machine so far. Used it a lot this year to set stands and haul out one small buck. Worked well. Dear Polaris; You suck for pulling that $hit battery thing………….
