Hello guys I have high chances to move to NY city very soon and as hunter I would like to keep doing my favourite sport...small game birds over my pointer dog. This forum is absolutely amazing and I really love to read about your adventures and suggestions. I am completely new with the hunting in USA and all the info you want to provide will be more than really appreciated! Nice to be part of this forum BTW!;) see you around!!! Vittorio

Thanks guys!!yes I come from a family with a big tradition of hunting....so I got it in my veins along with the passion for the football :)! If you have any info where I need to start or how does the hunting work here I will be very grateful to you!! Thanks

This is the DEC web site, they have a good site with much information.  If you are confused about something or have something specific you want to ask just post the question on this forum and it will be answered.  Any legal questions and  you can post here or call the DEC for the region you plan to hunt.  

 

Our state has many regulations from traveling with ammo and gun separate, no loaded fire arms while traveling and other things that might get you into trouble if you are not familiar. 

 

Great bunch of knowledgeable people on this site and they are very helpful.  If we can not figure out a question we will contact the DEC to find the answer.  Good luck and welcome aboard!  Great to have you!
