Speaking of strange any of you...

Seeing  a lot of toads...and I don't mean in the local bars Pygmy

I went out to feed the boys last night and it was like walking onto the set of a Stephen King movie...Toads toads of all sizes covering the ground hopping this way and that...then while checking the plots hundreds and hundreds of tiny baby toads every where...in the woods too

A lot of toads and green frogs, here this year. Boy are the frogs legs ever good. I have never seen so many in the hays fields. I have to stop forward motion so they don,'t jump in to the pickup. Turkey. Vultures and talks are cleaning up.

Had a bunch of them here last week baked to the sidewalk, but a flock of turkey vultures flew over the other day and cleaned them all up!

Seriously though, yes, lots of little toads around now.

I get them on my lawn every summer like that, tons of them. I've been seeing them for a week, or better now. They're good for the garden, and they keep the cats entertained.

Yes, Growie, I'm seeing lots of HOP toads while mowing and discing my food plots..<<grin>>...

I see a few of the OTHER kind now and then, but I don't dare fool around with them...

My Momma TOAD me not to hang out in those places....

Had to stop the lawnmower 6-7 times last week to pick up and relocate little hop toads into the garden.

When I was a youngster I told my mom that I was going to the pool to check out the "Fun bags". She told me not to eat any unwrapped candy out of  those "fun bags" that the life guards were giving out..
