EspressoBuzz
Selfie deaths are now more common than shark attacks http://www.stylist.co.uk/life/selfie-deaths-are-now-more-common-than-shark-attacks-selfie-tips-advice "Yellowstone National Park meanwhile, has had to issue an official warning to visitors after five people have been gored by bison in the past four months alone, while trying to pose for a selfie with the wild beasts. And in further sad but true news, a Wikipedia page has been started, documenting every known selfie death since 2014. The majority of incidents have involved people between the ages of 18 and 22, and it’s hoped that dare devil selfies are part of a passing trend." Just like dumb asses naturally cull themselves while uttering phrases like "hold my beer and watch this", cell phones are now helping narcissists cull themselves! wooly
The only kind of animals I like to pose with are already dead! Last winter I got too close to a dying yearling deer with the camera and took a hoof right above my eye. Felt like she clobbered me with a baseball bat. Lesson learned, lol

Elmo
The most recent trend is selfies and photos from the highest points in a city. A bunch has gotten arrested for trespassing and a kid recently feel to his death a coupe of months ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82SDk1kInvI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLDYtH1RH-U
genesee_mohican
My sympathy to all who lost everything for a photo. I guess this an extreme example of today's social media craze and it's effect on people where a large risk is taken to get a "Like" or what ever it is to capture the moment, in order to share it with everyone. Common sense needs to be priority #1 when it comes to cell phones in all areas. On a daily basis I see way too many people looking down while driving, texting or talking while driving..... with their head up their ass, and it makes me cringe! This has been the nature of young men and teenage boys for eons. It's only taking different forms now with different mediums to express it. I bet a lot of guys here cannot deny that when they were younger, they weren't "dare" to do something stupid and at one point or another tried to "one up" your friends by climbing the higher tree or swimming out further that your other friends were willing. It has always been in us, we're only expressing it differently now.
