Sounds like fear of the unknown to me.  It would take longer to get this gun into action than one pulled from a waist band.

 

Besides, idiots who fear guns wouldn't be getting all bent out of shape when they see someone carry it.

Not one of the above did the guy have an actual gun.   Either cops mistaking a cell phone for a gun, or rationalizing their unlawful behavior by stating that cell-phone guns exists and they are afraid for their life.

Cops just want to go home safe.  The idiots you think are hated by cops, are the ones who have given them reason to react to stupid moves by fools they are trying to interact with.  Cops don't often shoot people who don't give them reason to believe they might get shot.  I'd jump in to help a cop being attacked by some idiot who won't comply.  There were far fewer shootings by police when there were far fewer police getting shot.  The police did not start this current shoot fest.  I don't believe cops can do no wrong, but do believe they have a right to fear for their life when dealing with a moron being aggressive and hostile!
