wooly
This ol' girl has been sitting on 7 eggs on the creek bank for almost 3 weeks now. Those babies will be crackin' any day now! I hung a cam over the nest a while back to find that "dad" returns at night to help protect his girl into the weeeee hours of the morning. Mom rotates the eggs every 40 minutes or so now 24/7. She sits a little tighter lately and is beginning to hiss and display to let me know when I get too close, so they gotta be getting ready to pop soon. She still has plenty of patience and gives me a chance to experiment with settings. Couple other shots to end it...

Zem18
I ran into a female on the nest last weekend trout fishing. Never even saw her to my left and I was looking in the water to my right. Scared the carp out of me when she honked and I was only 10 feet away. Great pics as always. Especially like the bird in the spruce.

That's great news stones... I'm so busy now I can't keep up with all the litters and hatchlings! I still need to set a day aside to chase some strutters! Got some crappy shots the other day when I wasn't ready for them but it hard to pick what I want to chase any given day now that things are getting lively again. Fox den shots coming soon!
