So this is what we saw at 6 ish this morning about 400 yds away .....

And they disappeared because we saw this a few minutes later....

Nothing since so we decided to come in. Too windy and they were spooked.

Tomorrow is another day!

Set the blind up last night to watch over the field this morning.

I got there a little late (7:30) and there were two toms and 2 hens already out there doing their thing.

Pretty sure they heard me undo the zipper on the blind as they made their way off. Did manage to yank a few gobbles out of them before they left, but other than that, it was pretty quiet out there.

You guys hear much gobbling ? We heard one gobble at 6 and same bird at 7 way far off. I know there's birds where we're at but today was one of those days I scratch my head and say what gives. I'm blaming the full moon and sticking with it ???? I hit the crow call hard mid morning and couldn't get any shock gobbles either. Will see what tomorrow has to offer. Still beats work

605 3 diff birds gobbled off roost then quiet when they hit ground. 915 one single gobble think he was henned up though.

Few gobbles at around 6:10 and then nothing. Late this afternoon my son heard some gobbles near our blind. Hopefully they decided to roost not too far off.

About the same for us yesterday too, even the jakes were silent. Heading out in a few, chilly start today of 35 and clear.

9H. 27 degrees. We ain't hunting deer , jeesh ! Lots of deer on way out , 3 fox and an owl I had to swerve from as it swooped in front of car. Hoping to wind one up today for daughter. No wind at all but very bright. Good luck all.

In the blind again. Cool morning no wind. Heard few gobbles from the roost but now they are tight lipped. Hopefully they'll find their way to us.

Think we hooked one. He's off always but trying to reel him in. He's gobbling pretty good on the ground Cuts off my calls but going the wrong way currently. Time to shut up , he knows where we are.

Called one in from several hundred yds away to about 60-70 yds open view. Had a conversation with him for what seemed like an hour back and forth but he just hung up on us. Too far for the 20ga. He turned around and headed across the field. What excitement.

Had one hammering as he went off with his hen.

Got 3 going. Been playing for awhile. Can't get them to cross field. 4 deer in field now. I gotta whizz so bad lol

2 adults displayed in field for a long time. Full 360 turns in the sun. Maybe 200 out. Can't get them to committ. Hens on edge. Toms back in woods edge. Still got to whizz something fierce but displaying silent now so can't move

after a long show and hens (us) not going to them they got bored , escorting the real hens off and went silent and disappeared. Now we're waiting them out and relying on some of "grampys " luck.

We made a move and spotted toms, then we cut the distance way down and I called 4 long beards in to 10 yards. Of course he had a brush pile in the way when he shot and didn't get a bird. I think he's hooked now at least. Nothing like thundering gobbles at 10 yards.
