Almost ( might still get ) Got In Trouble

Never used a stabilizer on it and that bow was before my peep sight days.

I saved my old peep sight, so I will go ahead and have it installed. I put the sight and left the rest that Jeremy sent with it because it was in good shape. Going to take it over to Flying Arrow on Saturday to get it tuned up and sighted in.

Down side, I can't practice in my yard. I really love living where we are now, but damn, I am not liking the ****** ******* rules. Will be heading to Flying Arrow once a week until we can get over to RC and hopefully get a sponsor and get in.

Took the bow in for the tune up and have the peep sight installed. I have shrunk! Last time I was measured for draw length I was just shy of 28", now, they said 26 1/2".  

Shooting about 62#'s and 28 1/2". Can't go lower on the length without mods so I am shooting 'long'. Didn't have time to shoot today, but price for 2 hours is pretty reasonable, so will head over Saturday and get some time in.

You can cheat a long draw with a shorter release.

Be careful...usually a bow that has to long of a draw for the shooter will cause the shooter to send arrows left...just practice and you should be able to dial it in....2 inches long is a whole lot more then it sounds like.
Search AT forum for a module...or ask in here. Someone probably has one laying around for cheap.

If you don't want to buy an armguard just use a sock cut the toe end off and slip it over your clothes.  Also adds a warmth factor!

I picked up a new one. I had two but the goblins mush have gotten them during the move. A sock? Won't that catch the string the same as a coat or shirt sleeve?

Tomorrow I will have some pics. It's frustrating looking at the bow and my yard and not being out there for at least a shot or two each day.

Here's pics of first outing with the bow. It's pretty quiet and shoots well. Problem is the guy shooting it. Way out of practice! This was at 15yds.

Shot one arrow to see where I was on paper. 1's pic the hole above the #2. I was shooting at target #3. High. Made an adjustment and got that horrible group.

Adjusted right and height and got the group in second pic. Shot about 20 more times and got the same results pretty much as in pic 2, but without the low flier and a little tighter groups. No matter what I did I could not get the 13" high down.

It should be. I took it in last week and had them tune it up, that's part of the process, at least it should have been. I am getting great groups, well inside 4" and most were in 3". Just a foot high.

Yes. I didn't think about that. I may have to have them move it down a bit.

Just did, it moved maybe 1/8". Yes they put serving on top and bottom.

That may be enough..try drawing back with your eye closed...when you open you should be looking right thru the center of the peep

I do have a better view through the peep now. Won't know about the height issue until later in the week when I get back to the range.

No prob....i have experienced alot of different things that can go wrong with an archery setup. I have found shooting in a 3d league not only helps you become a better Archer, but more knowledgeable about your equipment
