I have been a member of hunting forums for 20 years and have never before been involved with one that was sold to an organization that supports anti-gun groups. I cannot figure any reason other than to use what is posted on the site to cause problems for the gun owners on the site.

They do not delete accounts so I was told I simply am not going back, the forum was sold to a Canadian company and one of the high ranking people is Anti-gun and some of the income goes to fund those groups. I refused to be a part of ANY support of any anti group, with the number of hits on a site being a selling point for advertisement I have stopped posting there. If you go there, there is a post that starts out as "I resign as Moderator " which has been locked by the new company, that started me down the path.

Welcome aboard Big John!  Glad to have you!  My NFA title has nothing to do with that site, lol.  Don't want to be associated with a anti-gun site.   We have a great member base, we fight sometimes but as a family site we try to keep everything civil.  Even though we disagree on many things we are all brothers and sisters who really enjoy the outdoors, if that is you then your in the right spot!  Again Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I've been there a while. They are pretty decent, but predictably and, at times, alarmingly right-wing. And I lean to the right, but some of them are pretty hardcore. I won't even relay something one of them said recently about if the city folk start invading outside of the cities in a SHTF scenario, but not really something you'd want your pastor to see you write.

I joined because talking about the "AR" style platform around here is nothing but an argument waiting to happen. That's not a bash on this site, just a few members here that don't fully understand that style of rifle. I really didn't get a good vibe over there. The hunting topics were few and far between.

But, I have heard a little about Vertical Scope. They are nothing I want to be associated with!!!! That's just my personal opinion, and no one should make a decision on what I think or believe in.

I have been a member of different hunting forums over the years, some as close as this one and others out west Missouri whitetails among others, I have written columns for others. My main concern is that no one on the "other side" profits from anything I do. I joy the heck out of a good debate as some of you know from the other places and here. I am also NOT telling any of you what you should or shouldn't do with regard to the NFA site if you are a member, my decision is mine alone.
