Could be a lot of things - deer, fox, coyote, maybe even a squirrel hanging on the camera box/tree and looking to the side.

How high is the camera off the ground?

I doubt it's a bear but ya never know. Never found any bear sign in that area.

Don't bobcats usually have a tuft of fur standing up off their ears, or am i picturing a Lynx in my mind?

I have yet to see one that is not in a zoo, and it been awhile since I have seen one in the zoo.

Height is about right to be a full-grown adult from what I have read on them.

Being so close to the lens, it is hard to determine exact coloring or any patterns to help.

Hopefully someone else can be more helpful.

Honestly... It looks like a deer's ear to me. Cat? Possibly? Bear? I don't think so, it's too long and pointed.

30 inches ??  That would one TALL bobcat..

I think landtrac is right..It's one of them there pumacougars that the DEC has been clandestinely  releasing.

I think I got a glimpse of the black stealth helicopter in the background.
