Deer are playing?

The other day I was in my stand and some deer snuck in behind me and just as I was about to check them out they start racing around, zigzagging back and forth over a football sized area in the woods. One going in one direction,the other opposite and so on. I couldn't even keep track of them. 

So just a group of teenagers with too much energy? Never seen that before,mist have lasted a few minutes maybe.

That or a hot doe, but seems a littler early for the rut.

Ive seen that a few times,  where they run around  each other. I had a deer do that once in water and was making a whole lot of noise. All the time its the young ones doing this and acting silly.

I have also seen that before . Young deer having fun .

Last year I saw a spike buck running around a flock of turkeys, kicking up his heels and jumping around the turkeys. The birds just pretty much ignored him. He was quite entertaining to me at least!

I've seen a couple young ones horsing around before , the one was using its front hoof to smack the other one in rear end to get a little game of chase going.

ive seen young of the year fawns doing that. while mom watches over them. kind of like kids on the playground

ive seen a spike doing this in the woods by himself! some are just strange
