goosifer
the corn field behind my property (overgrown fields and some tree rows)got cut earlier this week. I believe there is still some corn on the ground so it is still food source, but obviously no more cover. How might this affect how and when the deer go to feed in the corn field? Any chance of seeing them during legal light? Thanks
nodeerhere
How big was the corn field? And if they cut it and left lots of ears and corn on the ground the deer will eat it
Culvercreek hunt club
Well one thing for sure. They won't be hiding in the corn on you any more.
Jeremy K
I know where we hunt ,the bucks use the corn field as a travel route from bedding to the top of the hill to feed , the corn gets cut about opening day of archery every year and the deer vanish. One year the field was to wet to work and I shot a nice 8 point that year .

vizslas
watch that field Right now Bucks need to eat Now that there is a lot less free feed they will be there longer. and maybe early enough to get a shot at one. The bean field I hunt was just cut late last week. i saw my buck on Monday the only deer that came to the field.and the only one to get a free ride out of the field. The does will come and the bucks will follow

Buckstopshere
Be there or be square. My experience is that when a cornfield is cut late in the season like now is a perfect time to be there, downwind, at first light. The deer don't know that they are not in cover anymore. Take advantage. They wise up quick.
wolc123
I would look for the closest patch of brassicas near heavy cover and hunt that. Brassicas are like candy to them during real cold weather like we have now, after the corn is gone. Don't expect to see much out on a cut cornfield during the daylight now. JRod 8G8H
Depends on the hunting pressure but similar to your situation our deer use the huge corn field to move across properties. I too am hoping they come out to the cut corn and beans with the temp drop this weekend.. Good luck

pt0217
It's acorns or azaleas in 3s. Deer hit the yards at night.
