I am really not sure but there is always a surcharge and fine.  One may go to the state (surcharge) and one to the local municipality.

I agree with the speed zones as that's getting to look like Amherst there. I remember when Liesing grew truck crops in that NE corner of County and Goodrich. I worked on a Gleaner combine  in the field where the sod farm is, not that many years ago.

I was caught doing 49 in a 30 zone in the Village of Arcade ( route 98) in 2005. Just purchased a Ford Explorer the day before and it ran so smooth from the other I traded that I didn't realize how fast I was going....I know, there's a speedometer built in, but that was my explanation to the officer and he reduced my violation to "non Moving" and I got hit for $100. He may have checked for any other violations and did not find any, so he let me slide for the $100 and no points.

Larry, my wife got busted doing 45 in a 30 through Batavia last summer (It was on the Eastern outskirts and she thought it was 40mph).  It was her first ticket in 12 years of driving.  She was given a plea offer to failure to obey a traffic control device.  She had a few people call the DA on her behalf, but he wouldn't budge.  ADA told her that was the best she was getting.  It was 2 points and $188.  $100 went to the fine and $88 in "surcharges."

You won't get any points. I had two sons who I swear to God paid for Hamburg's fireworks display every year with their speeding tickets. They just want the money, the prosecutor will reduce it to two parking violations and it will cost you about 2 bills. My last one was on Rt 5 in Angola where it drops from 55 to 45. Of course i was going 65 like a dumb a$$.

 I have a coworker/lawyer deal with them now, she can do it over the phone/fax, no need to go to court, pay the fine and done. I usually pay her $100 on top of the fine,  but not having to deal with the time in court is worth it to me.

U got nails just down the road from me then. They get 5 or 6 people a day there. They drop almost every ticket to a parking, ticket.
