growalot
I'm trying to remember, maybe one of you can pin the date down.,but we had a wet heavy snow opening week of bow. I recall being ticked because all the trees still had green leaf cover. The snow bent everything down and you couldn't see 10 ft standing on the ground. Took a while to melt. First-light
The year I bought my land (2007) I had the shell of the cabin built. My brother in law went over to hunt opening day of bow which I believe back then Oct 15th. I can remember him freezing that night he slept over it got down to 12 degrees that night. He saw a lot of action!
nyantler
Not sure what this means but the birds at my feeders in Redfield have been non-existent. Each week I usually have to refill the feeders when I return to camp... For the last month the feeders haven't been touched.

After seeing the treestands she builds she should have no problem building one. Will be nice and comfy for all the critters and her. Hope there's some room for Mr. B!
Core
Considering the fall started at the beginning of august, I feel it will be a brutal winter. I have no idea in truth if a cold summer portends that or not, but what a joke of a summer it's been!
hunterdan44
I don't know about the winter forecast, but I was walking around my property yesterday and there are loads of apples on the trees. BizCT
Forget the weatherForget North KoreaI'll be honest. I'm just worried about the Red Sox in the playoffs and how the Chiefs will survive without Eric Berry. growalot
No Larry the end isn't near...Just a topic starter and if you lived on a hill that in bad winters you have to get phone calls saying I'm head back to my parents 20 miles away because...you can't get up the road...or you look out and the huge plow salt trucks are having a difficult time or you have to drive around trying three different roads to find one that might get you home, because the plows couldn't make it up the hill...Then you'd find the idea and signs of a bad winter to come.. worrisome... As long as I can scavenge enough materials...at a mile and a half above the valley floor I'd have a few days to get er done...just need enough room for the 7 of us and 5 dogs and 2 cats......hhhmmm not much bigger than one of the blinds...lol

Won't you at least take a male and female deer and turkey for us to have something to hunt in the future once the flood recedes? We are counting on you to save our hunting way of life after all!!
