Horrific limo crash in Schoharie, 20 dead

Deepest condolences to all the families, friends and first responders as well.

The owner has a flop house motel in Saratoga County and has been in the spotlight for years. Guess he's back in Pakistan and his sons are "running" the motel and limo business...

I'm very familiar with this area. We don't live very far from the crash scene.

It's heartbreaking, that so many lives were lost and impacted, by something that could have possibly been avoided.

Please keep in mind the first responders of this terrible tragedy too. I know a some of them are having a very difficult time dealing with the after effects of that call.

I have been around that area for decades. I have family out that way. I know that intersection well. If your coming down off the "hill" you better be riding your brakes!  That curve and slope should make anyone use the break peddle! I knew it when the store was just a general store. No restaurant. That intersection isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. 

 

My condolence's to those who lost loved ones. I am still waiting to see what the cause of this tragedy is.

Mike owns the company I used to work for.  He explains the same issues I mentioned above.  That vehicle (and driver) never should have been on the road.  Man 2 x 20.

Indictments finally handed down today.  20 counts each for manslaughter and criminally negligent homocide.  His attorney will run out the clock on all legal maneuvers before finally accepting a plea bargain.  Buh-bye scumbag!

What really gets me is that people use a limo largely for safety reasons . Perhaps they’re  going to,be drinking so they hire a limo,expecting to get a safe vehicle and sober competent driver .

This time they got neither.
