I had the honor of coaching our house league all star game tonight. We ended up winning 7-6. If was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Good weekend for NYHunting Baseball..
We went 2-0 with a huge win against NJ Axemen(powerhouse program). My two were 6-10 combined and the catcher of the two threw out two runners in game 1 vs The Axe and then closed game 2 after EH’ing

We are done in this tournament (one and done). Lost the first game to a team we mercied last week. Kids on our team looked gassed. And the other team really stepped it up. Congrats to them!

Best of luck this weekend to the other HNY youth teams!

Time limit on games? That makes for some interesting stall tactics I would assume?

Gotta play the rules they lay out. We were the home team in game one- up 5-2 with 10 minutes left on the time limit. 1 pitch pop out, 5 pitch strike out, mound visit to discuss how to pitch their 10 hitter(?!?).3 outs. 4 minutes left and we are up. Mandatory take 2 strikes. 1st batter out, 2nd batter walk, pop out....game over due to time limit.

Guaranteed championship game (4:15..108 heat index predicted!)for us today-one pool play left (11:00)but we can’t be caught.

Championship will be tough but our pitchers are all available. Should be my boys pitching and catching the chip game so a ton of pacing for me.

Nice to see this team come together a bit at the end of a long struggling season. Fingers crossed—-mostly for getting back over the GWB at 7:00 on a summer Sunday night.

Our team stunk it up this am and lost 3-1, team couldn't get a hit to save their lives, just about every kid either hit the ball and got out or struck out, it's to bad they were so off, if they played that team 10 more times we'd win all of them.

Great weekend for the team and personally my two.
106 real feel and my kid threw a complete (6 inning game) to his brother who caught all 6-caught two more stealing today.

Coach entered our boys (14u) into a 15U tournament out on Staten Island, we played  a team from New Jersey that were obviously older (15 &16 year olds) and rightfully so as its a 15u tournament. Good experience for the boys. The game my son pitched was a pitchers battle with a big righty on the other team that was throwing gas. My boy got 8 strikouts and a pick off at first base and gave up no runs and pitched a complete 7 inning game to take a 1-0 win.

Yeah was a nail biter for sure, i aged about 10 years and got grayer by the minute...lol..but a heck of a game for both pitchers when its a 7 inning 1-0 game.

Good luck for your grandson with football.

Was it the Axemen from Jersey? Where are you “knights” out of (New Ro?)
