Cabin Fever
It's been an extremely busy and stressful year at work. I saw the phrase, "Inhale the Good Shit, Exhale the Bullshit" on a shirt while in New Orleans this summer. (OK, it also had a pic of a guy smoking a big fat joint on it too! ) Afterwards, I made this and used it as my computer background, as a reminder that it was just temporary and that hunting season was coming up! I'm ready to switch gears, get back into the stand, get some fresh air, and EXHALE THE BULLSHIT...

NFA-ADK
I need some trigger time at the range and really need some time in the woods! Been way to long! Work has been taxing for the past few weeks, need a battery recharge. Might have to play hookie one day of opening week just to get some ME time.

I took the opener off only because I couldn't stand to be at work when I can finally hunt. I would be pissy all day at work for sure.
johnplav
It's almost here! Treestands are up, accuracy is acceptable with the bow, two small late-season foodplots are growing, NY has been paid 97 hard-earned dollars for licenses... now I just need to wait patiently. Robhuntandfish
I had plans for a bear hunt / trout fish day this weekend. Bailing on that 83 sat, 87 Sunday. Early bear sucks. Two years ago got a cabin in the dacks last weekend of Sept and it was a record 95 degrees. Had a great time with some buddies and we caught some fish but bears ....they aren't moving in that heat. So this weekend will get out on the lake for one of the last times.

Yeah, can't imagine there will be many, if any, bear taken in the heat this weekend! Good God, then having to get one out of the woods!? YIKES!! I think you made the right choice!
