Trailer Tires

Recommended Posts

Just noticed that my trailer tires are in awful condition and need to be replaced. I’ve never replaced trailer tires before. For those members with experience, do I need to take it to a trailer place, or will a regular tire shop be able to replace them?

I bought new tires AND wheels online for much cheaper than what I could have locally.  I don’t recall the size off hand though.

A regular tire shop will probably be able to get your tires, but depending on the type/size of trailer, you might be able to buy them at a place like Tractor Supply. Post a pic of the tire with the writing showing. Do you want new rims, too, or just tires?

A local tire shop should be able to do them . I know walmart sells tire and rim on the floor also, I would think they could mount tires  too.

Thanks guys. Of course, I’m hoping to bring the trailer with me when I head upstate Wednesday morning. So, I’m in a bit of a time crunch.

Get your size of your tire /rim  and go to tractor supply or Walmart. Buy the rim tire combo done,  ready for Wednesday trip .

Harbor freight has many of them on rims all ready to roll too.

Thanks everyone. Turned out to be no problem. Took it to the local trailer place and got new tires in an hour.  Well worth the $135 for the convenience and peace of mind.
