Deerthug
Drove half way to the cabin and realized, when I packed up last night I never put my quiver in.So I have no arrows. So here I am back home cursing my self and everything.Good luck everyone. Oh man! I would be kicking myself in the arse if that happened to me. Then I would continue to the local archery shop by my cabin and pick up a set of arrows and beg and plead with the owner to get them ready for me while I wait. sampotter
What a perfect morning. I'm not hunting over a pasture, so I shouldn't see any heifers. Saw 6 does and 4a fawns last. Surprised to see more does than fawns. Coyotes?
Pat Rockets
Had 2 doe walk thru a half hr ago..no good chance of a shot@ 40 yds..and hey my toes are cold..waterfowl dudes sound like theyre havin a riot..it seems like the kind of day where you dont feel comfy with the bow on the hanger..tree rats are everywhere and you cant take the footsteps lightly.. Geno C
So i decided hit the horns and not a min goes by i look over and a deer was workin in. Came i to about 40 yards but the area im in is thick. When i got a better look, it looked like doe. She came in to inspect and when she didnt see anything she left. Anyone rattle a doe up before? I have had it happen a couple times. I took one of them. It is a social event for does. They have a desire to see who the dominant buck is. That is the one they want to be breed by. Kinda like college girls and a bar room brawl...lol
TreeGuy
Awesome night tonight in wny to be up a tree ! Just had the guys come through to mark the snowmobile trails. Tractors, atvs, banging in stakes... Etc. Actually hoping it helps me, they are 1/2 mile away, maybe they will bump somethin my way ! Had 2 shooters come through last night, hoping they come a lil closer tonight ! G'luck all !
chiefbkt
Beautiful night for hunting! A little warm but there is a gentle breeze and the sky is clear. Squirrels are going "nuts", jays are squaking, and hopefully the deer will be moving!

Doewhacker
Had a good weekend for sightings and close encounters. Seen 12-15 Friday, I lost track, one buck and had two different deer with in feet of me while I was still hunting. One fawn was no more than 5 feet, lol. Seen 7 today, one buck few nice does a fresh scrape line and no shots. We wasted time trying to get across the creek first thing and that cost a chance at the second place we hit. Damn water is still way to high to get into our best spot, I thought we were going to get wet this morning, it was deep and fast and my brother and I were worried for a second. We quit when it got above waste high and couldn't feel the bottom. Also saw three bucks on the sides of roads today, one decent one and two medium sized. i left feeling frustrated today but atleast I am seeing deer, 37 for the year so far. Littlesunray
just got back in, we took the kids all three down to some family land in the southern tier. had a blast. did not get any deer(that is not what its about all the time). it was more a family bonding and fun time. was out all day, left Lockport at 400 am . about 10 minutes after set we had three does cause my son to fill his pants. walked in behind him and sniffing his bags about 10 feet from him. He did a silly dance trying to draw his bow in the excitement. a while later he had a shot at a doe about 15 yards, shot short in the dirt. an hour later had 4 bucks about 60+ yards in front of my hubby. He had one respond to a grunt , started towards us and got cut off by 2 other bucks . they all ran out then. then me and peanut(our 3 yr old) had about 4 does dancing in front of us about 50 yard. I am not comfortable with that far of a shot so we just sat and enjoyed the show. if only i had my camera handy for her face with the does. now i have a question , on the phone how can i post up pictures? burmjohn
I like to email my myself the pictures from the phone (so I can download them on my desktop) or if you can download them right from the phone to the desktop if it has a USB adapter.
