fasteddie
I thought my sons had gotten their licenses but found out that they just bought them yesterday . Neither one was able to get the anterless permits as that had stopped September 30 ( last Friday ) . I bet they won't procrastinate next year ! They will have to apply when the "extras" are given out . I always got my license the 1st available day I could get to the Town Clerk's office . Now they get mailed and I still go for the tags ASAP . growalot
I'm like you get them right away and then relax about it...sorry they missed out but at least now they can be signed over so...maybe the can find a friend or to with extras....I'm assuming the boys get tags for areas other than yours?..heard you mention hunting and camp areas

WNYBuckHunter
I used to be like that and wait and wait, then not get a DMP. I stopped doing that a long time ago and get my license as soon as I can after they come out for the new season. Cut off was Oct 1, not Sept 30. landtracdeerhunter
Can they go back on November 1st ( all saints day), to get the left over tags? This year, it's on a Tuesday, so every town clerks office will be open. Their are more tags given out the 2nd round, than in the 1st, in some areas. That does take one morning out of the field. lol Edited October 6, 2011 by landtracdeerhunter

noahmstone
I used to run out and try for a dmp first thing and still always got denied. now in my area they only release to qualified land owners and disabled vets so I don't even bother. but I still get my license before october 1st.
