Nytracker
We had a visitor at work last night. He fell off while trying to get on another pipe snagged him in a trash can and slid a piece of sheet metal underneath. Carried him outside no critters or people harmed in this endeavor... porcupine lives matter ! 14

You could have given him a little tap with a piece of Styrofoam and got a lifetime's supply...
Nytracker
Never thought about it was more worried about getting it out of the plant without getting it hurt or one of us getting hurt. I have a skin at home I use from time to time . I picked it up at fly fishing flea market . I have used all the bigger quills years ago
Pygmy
I'll skin a skunk any time, but I'd have to think awhile about skinning a porcupine...I probably could come up with a way of doing it without getting pricked TOO many times....Hehehe...

Daveboone
they are Mr Mellow of the animal world. I scooped up a little one outside of work that was chowing down on acorns, and brought him home to show my son. We back up to woods, so after a short visit I took him to the back yard where there were alot more oaks. he was happy to just explore the back yard for a day or so, and didnt worry about us at all.
