Patience. You would rather be slung back in a hammock, so would the deer. Aint none inside. But this is why I take my time off to hunt the last week of the season.

Make a move, north facing slopes the sun takes longer to hit is where I’m seeing everything.

North slopes near bedding. Or thick pines on east.slopes,combine either with creekbittom and your good, . think shade

Find the shade and the deer will be there.  Bucks are still cruising.  The weather looks like it's supposed to break at the end of the week and cool back down.

Stop looking for squat and start looking for deer. Squat has no season in NYS, and to my recollection there are hefty fines for taking them illegally.

 

 

It's day three of the crossbow season, have some patience. Deer don't just show up because you tossed on some camo and cocked the bolt shooting gun.

 

This is the time to be out there as much as you can be.

Bucks are still nite cruising. See different ones every night on the tree cam and some real dandies. Hunt the cooler rain later this week and next week. Does are ahead of the bucks by a few hours. It will happen later than last year. Patience...
