Gobbler Chaser
Hey who remembers these things? 35mm, LMAO. I actually had one and between the noise it made winding the film and flash I'm pretty sure it scared more deer out of the area where I had it than anything else. Never got more than a shocked to sh*t deer pic or two or complete nitetime washouts. I remember guys giving me hell on Archery talk for using one because of the unfair technological advantage it gave, lol. G-Man
I have an original trail timer that has a camera attachment ,uses a solenoid to make a plunger manually push the button on a 35 mm camera.. still works
jperch
Yup, times sure have changed. No "real time data" there!
Gobbler Chaser
I remember there were also guys who would fashion a box and sensor with a standard digital camera and make their own trail cams because the early digital TCs were such junk. They had plans available on forums for them. Man I don't miss those days
grampy
I never used a trail camera up until 6 or 7 years ago. Phade sent my grandsons a couple old ones he had. We got some pictures on em, and we were hooked! Love all the different critters we get pictures of. Now cell cams are the big thing. Who even thought of getting real time pictures sent to your little handheld device 10 years ago? I feel like George Jetson sometimes. Lots of arguments over ethical questions and cell cams. I leave that discussion for the off season. Gotta check my phone for pictures!
fasteddie
I have a 35mm trail cam in the basement somewhere . It was frustrating turning in a 36 exposure roll of film , waiting for a few days for film to be developed and maybe getting 2 pictures of a deer . SpacemanSpiff
Wow thats a classic. Cams are just a form of fun for me. I dont use them as a tool at all. All my hunting spots are a mile away.
