rachunter
You gotta head upstream(or downstream) sometimes to get away from the boot prints. Trout fishing is more like hunting imo. The more that you stay hidden downstream and cast upstream the better. I wear drab natural colors and don't let my shaddow enter the hole. Dont stomp the ground or take strong steps near the waters edge. This is not brim fishing. These are the wildest weary fish in the creeks. Make your first cast count. There was fish swirling around I’m not walking away from fish to find fish. I’m here know nothing is happening so I worked my way down stream. I’m having a cup of swirl and going to head up stream. I’ve been fishing here for over a month and everyone I’ve encountered has been polite Karen and the kids where looking for attention. rachunter
Got skunked this morning. I’m not really sure what to do when the wind causes ripples on the water so I used a dry dropper. I found a full container of worms so I’ll probably be pan fishing this afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rachunter
I came to the conclusion I’m not a worm fisherman. I last maybe a half hour. Then I threw the worms in the bushes and tried some lures. Nothing caught Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The_Real_TCIII
I had a phenomenal morning on the Catt and then pulled into a little creek that Id never fished and caught a glorious wild brown in a hole with a little spring running into it. It was the only creek in the Catt system I hadnt fished. I love "collecting" streams and this is number 34 for me. Also got a cool pic of a sucker through the polarized glasses

Chef
Got out yesterday on the willowemoc and only had one hit. For half the day i tried learning euro nymphing again, but Ive been having a lot of trouble with it. I really need to learn the sensitivity of it. Later in the day I switched to soft hackles and that's what I had my hit on. I was on the phone at the time and wasn't prepared to set the hook, but it was a nice trout. I watched that trout leap into the air about 10 minutes before. Not much rising going on yesterday, but I did see a few fish launch themselves out of the river after what I assume is caddis. Next weekend is looking really good, hopefully i can get on some fishWest branch ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

( also had to dodge the local pasture bull to get to it! )

wolc123
I caught around (25) smallmouth and (1) 12” perch so far this Holliday weekend up in the Adirondacks. I finally got a “legal” 20-1/2” bass this evening on a 1/8 oz bucktail jig. She went back in with all the rest of the bass. I am looking for at least a 22” to mount. That was the last 1/8 oz bucktail jig that I had and I lost it on a snag shortly after landing the big bass. I will have to get by with 1/4 and 1/16 oz jigs on our last morning tomorrow. Also got 5 or 6 on a top water bait this morning (Zara puppy), and about the same number trolling a silver hot-n-tot after the sw wind picked up. The perch is in a fish cage at the dock, and if I get another in the morning, I will fillet them for my mother in law.
