grampy
A huge Thank You to Billdogge for gifting me the Scorpyd 165 crossbow he had for sale here! Thanks to Chef for not buying it!! I now have two crossbows once owned by Bill. Bill is a great guy and friend, that I don't see often enough. We will definitely get a hunt together this fall. The quality of people I've met from this forum, is absolutely amazing. Due to my bad shoulders, not looking too good at this time, for shooting my bow this fall. Though today, I did barely get a shot off in my basement range! My hope is the bill supporting 55 and older full inclusion will pass this year? If it does, this is what I will carry into the deer woods in October. I can't imagine sitting out bow season, if I'm still breathing. I really like the balance of this crossbow! Can't wait to shoot it! I now have three crossbows. I will complete the circle Bill started. And pass along his kindness and generosity, by giving my Barnett Raptor to my Goddaughter. Hopefully she will tag out with her compound bow first though? Thanks again Bill.

If you're ever in the capital region come murder all my coyotes, evidently I suck at it.

What arrows/heads you going to launch out of that mean looking lady?
Four Seasons
I have the Aculeus. Those Scorpyd’s are something else. Crazy kind of range and speed. I think you will see all the changes pass thru for this fall.

It's tough to consistely kill coyotes in the north easy without hound hunting them.

Not sure what heads will fly best out of this one? Will start with the 100g Slick Trick mechanical heads I'm using from my other crossbow. I have a few others here I can try too. Manual says not to use a fixed head, as the speed and power may cause them to plain? As far as bolts, I have a bunch of Piledrivers here I can try. There were some bolts that came with it, but most need refletching. Also need to pick up some Q nocks, for the Scorpyd, as that is what they shoot. I'm sure my guy Vic at Brown's Archery will fix me up. Will replace the string and cable too. Everything I'm reading about these is really good! Got lots of stuff with it, including a case, sling, quiver, lubes, owners manual, bolts, couple extra nocks, and other assorted goodies!!! I'm very thankful to Billdogge. He really set me up nice! Shoots100
That bow's to nice to let sit after the deer season ends, so get a night or thermal scope and help save Bambi !
