  2. Emergency treatment as you described is not the problem... your scenario, although valid, carries little weight when arguing the total illegal immigrant health cost problem... I believe we all know that WNY was talking about the other 99.9% of "them". That kind of cherry picking semantics is exactly how liberal America keeps anything from getting done. Yeah.. lets use one half of one percent of a problem to hinder doing something about the the other 99.5% of the real problem.

  5. I chose my name because it's funny as hell, I feel like Elmer when I'm all dressed up and sitting alone in the dark at 530am,just to not see a deer. Plus when I'm trudging around in the snow, I can't help but feel like Elmer J. Fudd! Whenever something dumb happens...well, that's what I call an Elmer Fudd moment. I also call people Elmer alot when doing outdoor related activities. I think all you guys that wear Elmer's style hats are funny too! Lmao!

  8. Ha-ha .... isn't it funny how we use the term "illegals" and then want to treat them like first class U.S. citizens. Either they are in the country illegally or they're not. If they are, deport them. Don't worry about them sponging off our medical system. They can't do that if they aren't here. And if they are here creating an illegal situation, take care of that situation and the problem goes away. I've often wondered what naturalized citizens who have gone through the proper channels and activities think when they see others laughing at and ignoring our citizenship laws and having everyone fall all over themselves trying to make life easier for these crooks. They must wonder why they ever bothered to do things the right way. I have to wonder too. But anyway, they are crooks who are flaunting our laws. They should not be rewarded with any kind of government assistance other than being forceably assisted back into the country that they came from.

  9. Welcome, I moved up here from the south last spring. There are some pretty major diffeerences, especially in the tags, so make sure you pay attention to what tags you have and when you are using them. I called DEC and just asked all my little questions for an hour, they were pretty good about it. The other difference is make sure you know the regs for not only the county, but the township and any special area you are in. There's twice as many governmental layers up here as down there. Taking a hunter's safety up here might be helpful, even if you have it. The guys who teach it are all sportsman who can tell you stuff you won't read about. Also, if you are going to get some DMPs, make sure you apply early. Everything is electronic, so just go to Walmart and get it. And find some friends. Public land is not easy to find or hunt. Oh, and there are no alligators to worry about.

  12. 6k report; I'm stoked! Was up to camp setting up a cam & had a mouth call with me, decided to see if anything was out there. I did a few short yelps and two gobblers fired right back - 60 yards out! There I am standing there thinking 'holy &}{%#' - I quick set the cam, hit the sides with scent away, grabbed the rake and quietly as I could snuck outta there. Rake was left there by the plot from last time, anyhow when I got about 50 yards away I hit the call again and the birds fired back up. How am I going to sleep tonight and still got a week to go

  13. Tug congradulation on taking the challenge of bow hunting. Caution: Bow Hunting May Become Addictive! You may not need a middle finger any way. First thing to do to get the right set up is finding your draw length. This may vary from brand to brand and you may be a 28 inch draw for a Martin and a 27.5 with the Hoyt. Fitting of the bow is crucial for accuracy. Do not worry about speed. All the bows out today have plenty and speed is a luxury. Accuracy is everything and can only be acheived with a properly fitted bow. This is the best advice I can give. Find a good shop in your area. Take a look at as many bows as you can. Go to the range and speak to other archers about their equipment. Read everything. Magazines, web sites, and product reviews. Decide if you want top of the line fancy, basic and functional or something inbetween. Good luck with the proccess and enjoy. Phil
